summer beauty trends

Summer Beauty Trends
heres a list of fun ways to make your look summery and beachy
1. neon nails - as mentioned in the previous post, neon nails are HOT this season! Don't be shy about using high voltage colors on your nails.
try: essie's new collection of brights
2. bronzy glow - using a bronzer and some sort of highlighter work great to create a bronzy beachy glow.
try: too faced snow bunny bronzer
3. beachy waves - achieving the perfect beach waves are so much easier than people think. All you need is a wave enhancing spray, a large curling iron, and hair spray! Apply wave enhancing spray on DRY hair, mostly concentrating on the ends. Scrunch that spray in. Wrap hair around a large curling iron [1 1/4 inches - 1 1/2 inches]. After it is all curled, spray with hairspray. Run your hands through hair and shake it around for the perfect touseled beach look.
try: john frieda starlit waves & garnier frutrise anti humidity hairspray
4. bronze eyeliner - this is a new unexpected way to add bronze to your face. Apply bronzey or gold [depending on your skin tone] to the outer corner of bottom lash line for a subtle brightness.
try: urban decay 24/7 eye pencil in honey or baked
5. bright lips - stand out with bright lips in this seaons hot coral-pink shade. Apply a gloss to make the look more wearable.
try: mac lipglass in pink poodle

heatherette for mac!

I cannot even tell you all how excited I am for this collection! I don't normally buy MAC or get too into the collections, but this looks awesome!
I saw some sneak peak pics and based off the images I definitely want the lipstick in Melrose Mood and the lipglass in Starlet Kiss! Looks like the perfect pastel pink.
for a swatch, try this link: click *photo found on specktra.net*
anyways nothing really exciting here today, sorry. Hopefully I can do a tutorial or look breakdown sometime soon though.

FOTD: taupe, brown, and green!

Sorry the pics are so big !
Here's an fotd I did. I wanted a subtle "cat" eye type shape but not too dramatic, so I went with an allover taupe with dark brown blended in the outer v. I used a green as a bottom liner and lined the top with black eyeliner.
Oh and btw, HUGE rave for too faced lash injection! They really make my lashes look amazing! Definitely worth the splurge :)

recreate the makeup

FEATURING: Kim Kardashian
Click For Photo
Here I will tell you step by step how to recreate this beautiful makeup look as worn by Kim Kardashian!

PREP:
1. Wash face, moisturize and apply foundation of your choice (you can do this last, but I always find it easy to do the foundation first to provide a good base)
2. Apply a lip moisturizer if lips are dry, so when you apply lipstick it won't be flaky
EYES:
1. Use MAC e/s in "alum" allover the lid
2. Use MAC e/s in "knight divine" lightly in the crease of the eye
3. Apply MAC e/s in "carbon" to the outer v and to the outside 1/3 of the lower lash line
4. Apply MAC e/s in "steamy" to the inner 2/3 of the lower lash line and a little bit to the inner corner going up to a little bit of the upper lash line
5. Apply MAC e/s in "ricepaper" under the brow to highlight
6. Apply MAC powerpoint e/l in "engraved" (or black eyeliner of your choice) to the waterline
7. Line the upper lashline with MAC powerpoint pencil or liquid liner, your choice.
8. For best results, use false lashes with this look. That is definitely how she achieves those long lashes (you could just use mascara for a less dramatic lash)
now that the eyes are finished, its time for the rest of the face!
FACE:
1. Apply a soft pink blush to the cheeks (try MAC "pinch o peach")
2. Apply a matte bronzer to the cheeks and lightly dust the forhead, nose, and chin.
LIPS:
1. Apply a nude pinky lipstick, such as MAC "angel"
2. Apply a light pink gloss, such as MAC lipglass in "prr" or "underage"

And you're done! A wonderful look recreated!
I hope this was helpful to everyone and I hope your results are very similar to the photo.

Remember that different colors/looks can show up very different depending on your skintone.
